The ‘Free Palestine’ movement is a terror organization, say conservative commentators

Conservative pundits are calling on the federal government to designate the “Free Palestine” movement as a terror organization.
The calls come after pro-Hamas activists carried out two terror attacks in the recent weeks. On Sunday, Mohamed Sabry Soliman threw Molotov cocktails at a crowd of demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado marching for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza, injuring 15 people. On May 21st, Elias Rodriguez shouted “Free Palestine” as he shot to death two Israeli embassy staffers outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. On Passover, a pro-Palestinian broke into Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s home and set fire to it while he and his family slept—for Palestine.
‘A violent movement’
Guy Benson noted on Fox News Monday that the Free Palestine movement, with its chants to “globalize the intifada” and fight Israel “by any means necessary,” has gone from burning American flags to burning Americans.
“The pro-Palestine movement is a violent movement,” he stated. “Their rhetoric is violent, they justify violence, they celebrate violence, and increasingly, they are engaging in violence not just over there, here in the United States.”
‘A domestic terror organization’
CNN’s Scott Jennings echoed Benson’s sentiment. “What more do we need to see, Jake, before we realize this ‘free Palestine’ movement is nothing more than a domestic terror organization?” he asked Jake Tapper on Tuesday.
“The rise of antisemitism in America, the rise of the number of people who have come to America who hold anti-American views, anti-Western views, and antisemitic views — and are now willing to act on it – it is absolutely outrageous,” Jennings continued. “And I think as a society, we need to understand. We are dealing with domestic terrorism, it’s growing more violent by the day, and if we don’t deal with it, these kinds of things are going to keep happening in cities all over the place. It’s awful, and we need to come to grips with the fight that we’re in right now in America, a fight for the future of our country and the future of western civilization.”
‘Nothing to do with building a State of Palestine’
Dave Rubin commented on Jennings’ remarks by pointing out that the Free Palestine movement is not only a threat to America.
“When [Jennings] says that this Palestinian ‘movement’ — which they’re not even a people, really, but putting that aside — that it’s a terrorist movement . . . why is it that wherever they are, they’re burning their own countries’ flags, right?” asked Rubin. “So they do it in Paris, and they do it in London, and they do it in Brussels, and they do it wherever they are. They’re burning their own countries’ flags while they’re showing you a flag of a country that never existed and will never exist. Why are they doing that? Because it has nothing to do with building a State of Palestine. It has to do with destroying the Western states that put tolerance at the top of that hierarchy.”
‘Get rid of the Free Palestine movement’
Jeffrey Mead also came out in support of Jennings’ call to designate the Free Palestine movement as domestic terrorism.
“We’re seeing the logical conclusion of the ideologies that they’ve been pushing and supporting and trying to normalize. For years at this point, they’ve been trying to say that terrorism is ‘resistance’ and it’s okay. They’ve been pushing that for years,” Mead said, adding: “We need to protect our country, our culture, our borders, our ideology. We need to unapologetically protect those things. So yes, I think our country and our government should be working aggressively to get rid of the Free Palestine movement.”
