Soros-backed DA moves to prosecute pardoned J6 hostages

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is exploring prosecuting the January 6th hostages recently pardoned by President Donald Trump.

Trump issued pardons to roughly 1,500 Americans who had been persecuted by the Biden administration over the last four years for being inside the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Many were subjected to violent FBI raids, lengthy prison terms, isolation, and torture.

Krasner, who won his election with financial assistance from billionaire George Soros, is reportedly now searching for a way to prosecute some of the hostages under Pennsylvania state law, though legal roadblocks like double jeopardy may muddy his efforts. The Double Jeopardy Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution safeguards defendants from being tried for the same crime more than once.

“Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner, a progressive Democrat, is exploring state charges against pardoned US Capitol rioters from PA,” reported CNN’s Marshall Cohen. “This would face significant legal hurdles, like double jeopardy. But he told me, ‘you can have a state prosecution for conduct that was not fully encompassed in the federal prosecution.’”

‘A gross abuse of prosecutorial discretion’

Soros is known to have spent at least $40 million to install some 75 district attorneys across the United States who pledge to bring about “criminal justice reform,” i.e., to drop charges or seek light sentences based on social factors. Together, those DAs oversee half of America’s most populous cities and are responsible for prosecuting an estimated 40% of the country’s crime.

After the Black Lives Matter riots in 2020, Krasner famously dropped nearly all charges against rioters. His office also prosecuted a police officer who responded to the riots. When billionaire Elon Musk launched a PAC last year to help President Donald Trump’s campaign, Krasner sued him for election interference.

“Within 2 years of taking office Larry Krasner, the DA who sued Elon Musk, dropped 60% of murder cases, 37% of all illegal firearms cases,” reported Insurrection Barbie on X. “In 2020, he prosecuted the lowest number of felony cases in 30 years. Philadelphia saw more murder cases in that year [than] NYC. He was elected with a Soros cash infusion of 1.5 million dollars.”

“But Larry Krasner is too busy going after the political rivals of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” she continued. “Now, instead of going after murderers and r*pists, he’s going to try to circumvent double jeopardy and open up state investigations into anyone who lives in PA who was pardoned for J6. Even though the crimes did not occur in his jurisdiction, and even though many of these people served jail time and were pardoned. This is a gross abuse of prosecutorial discretion. It’s also a gross abuse of public funds, but it shows that these cases were only about political persecution.

“He is a disgrace.

“Philadelphia you have our condolences.”
