Islamic terror group in Canada schedules conference on defeating the West
Islamic terror group Hizb ut-Tahrir has scheduled its conference on how to conquer the West and establish a global caliphate for January 18th in Ontario, Canada.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is a designated terror organization in several countries including the United Kingdom, where membership in the group is punishable by up to 14 years in prison. The organization, founded by Palestinians, seeks to bring non-Muslim countries under Muslim rule by gradually infiltrating their governments and influencing policy. It boasts millions of members around the world.
On January 18th, Hizb ut-Tahrir will host its annual Khilafah (Caliphate) Conference in Ontario which will focus on "eliminating the obstacles that are delaying [the] return" of an Islamic caliphate.
"Is America really so powerful that our Ummah [Muslim nation] can’t defeat it?" the group wrote in a Facebook post. "There have been superpower states in the past too, like the Romans and the Persians; yet, they were defeated by the Ummah. Their great cities, like Constantinople, are now Muslim cities."
"What must the Ummah do to get Allah's Support once again?” the post added. “What steps do we need to take to become victorious against today’s Colonialist superpowers?"
"We'll answer these questions at our upcoming Khilafah Conference," the group continued. "Learn what it will take for our Ummah to overcome America, Europe, Russia, China, and others from the position we're in today. If you want to help create real change in our Ummah, then get this critical knowledge by attending, inshaAllah [G-d willing]."
In a Facebook video promoting the conference, a Hizb ut-Tahrir spokesman accused Western countries of persecuting Muslims.
“Since losing the Khilafah, which was our shield, our Ummah has witnessed nothing short of bloodshed, foreign occupation, invasions, and oppression over these last hundred years. Despite all this, the colonialists are still afraid of the Ummah's latent strength.”
"If this love can be turned into political action, it would lead to the revival of the Khilafah,” he continued, accusing non-Muslim nations of using "false ideas and exaggerations to dishearten Muslims.”
"The colonialists will point to their technology, vast armies, giant economies, and their pervasive influence," he added. "However, none of this 'power' compares to the might of Allah. It doesn't even stand against the strength Allah has given our Ummah."
Hizb ut-Tahrir planned to host the conference in Mississauga, though backlash from residents — including Mayor Carolyn Parrish — may have forced the group to consider a new location.
“This very extreme group are moving on to another City for their Jan 18th conference,” Parrish posted to X on Sunday. “On behalf of all the peaceful and respectful residents of Mississauga, we are relieved.”
The terror group’s website still lists Mississauga as the location, though the Western Standard reports that the conference may instead take place in nearby Hamilton.
Islamic plans for political conquest
Hizb ut-Tahrir is not the only Islamist group openly plotting to conquer the West through political means. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has ambitious plans to gain power in the United States Congress and various industries.
CAIR, which busies itself with accusing Americans of “Islamophobia,” has been a longtime supporter of Hamas. As early as 1994, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad endorsed the terror group. In 2023, he cheered the October 7th massacre of some 1,200 Israelis by Hamas.
Awad and CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad both have ties to Hamas through the Islamic Association of Palestine. In 2014, the United Arab Emirates designated CAIR as a terror organization for its ties to Hamas’ parent network, the Muslim Brotherhood.
In a speech at the East Plano Islamic Center in August, Awad bewailed the “deeply rooted” Islamophobia in the United States.
"There is Islamophobia [in the U.S.] that is so deeply rooted in the culture, in academia, in Hollywood, in the portrayal of Islam,” he said, according to MEMRI. “For hundreds of years, Islam has been denigrated, the Prophet has been smeared and defamed in books and textbooks that were taught in public schools, that Allah be praised, we have been working to eliminate and change.”
Awad unveiled the organization's plan to create an “army” of 50,000 academics, journalists, and lawyers to promote pro-Islam narratives.
“If we commit to do this, four years from now, the Muslim community will have 4,000 new journalists, we will have 4,000 filmmakers, 4,000 lawyers, 4,000 students of political science, 4,000 students of history,” he said.
Within the decade, CAIR hopes to start carving out a major Muslim presence in the US government:
“We can have in ten years, at least 40-50 members of Congress — in the US Congress.”
