FLASHBACK: Ex-NYC police commissioner warns about Trump assassination

A warning by former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik about attempts to assassinate President Donald Trump has resurfaced in the wake of the second assassination attempt on Trump’s life.

Authorities apprehended 58-year-old Democrat Ryan Routh Sunday after he was fled Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach where he positioned a rifle, a GoPro, and two backpacks. He appeared to be lying in wait 300-500 yards from Trump.

The attempted killing is the second in two months. On July 13, Thomas Crooks shot Trump in the face during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, grazing the president’s ear.

Ex-police commissioner: ‘Their next move will be assassination’

A day after the FBI’s 30-agent raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022, former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik warned the Biden-Harris regime might resort to assassination to stop Trump’s presidential bid in 2024.

“I hear people talking, they said the Democrats want this guy so bad that they wouldn’t put assassination behind it,” Kerik told Newsmax

“I’m gonna tell you something. They’ve tried impeachment, they’ve tried another impeachment, they’ve tried one investigation after another. This is about one thing, this is about stopping him from running in 2024,” he added.

“I’m not into conspiracies, I’m not into anti-government rhetoric. This is the first time in my lifetime that I would say I am deathly afraid for Donald Trump. I would not put assassination behind these people.”

Kerik repeated his concern on social media, joining many other Americans who say the United States has turned into a third-world authoritarian country.

“And just like in other Third World countries, if today’s raid by Biden’s FBI does not stop Donald Trump from running for president in 2024, their next move will be Assassination,” tweeted Kerik.

Carlson: ‘We are speeding towards assassination’

But Kerik was not the only one to predict that the regime would try to kill Trump if he could not be subdued by lawfare. Journalist Tucker Carlson warned last year that “permanent Washington” will try to assassinate the 45th president.

“They called him names. He won anyway,” Carlson told comedian Adam Corolla on The Adam Corolla Show. “They impeached him twice on ridiculous pretenses. They fabricated a lot about what happened on January 6th in order to impeach him again. It didn’t work. He came back, then they indicted him. It didn’t work. He became more popular. Then they indicted him three more times, and every single time his popularity rose. So, if you begin with criticism, then you go to protests, then you go to impeachment, and now you go to indictment, and none of them work, what’s next? I mean, graph it out, man.

“We are speeding towards assassination, obviously. No one will say that, but I don’t know how you can’t reach this conclusion,” he said. “They have decided — permanent Washington, both parties have decided — that there’s something about Trump that’s so threatening to them, they just can’t have it,” he added.
