Celebrity defends medical mutilation for kids: ‘Made me so much more interesting’
Actress Annette Bening last week defended medical mutilation procedures for children, saying her transgender child has made her “so much more interesting.”
The Nyad star made the remarks on the front steps of the US Supreme Court, where oral arguments in United States v. Skrmetti began last Wednesday. The Biden-Harris Justice Department is suing Tennessee for banning medical mutilation of children, which includes puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and transgender surgeries. These interventions are known to cause permanent sterility, castration, suicidality, heart damage, blood clots, tumors, and bone density loss in children.
A Tennessee law banning such procedures is currently being argued in the US Supreme Court in United States v. Skrmetti, where oral arguments began last week. The Department of Justice is suing Tennessee, claiming the ban discriminates based on sex, even though the law prohibits medical mutilation for both male and female minors.
‘So much more interesting, so much more wise’
Bening, whose daughter identifies as a man named Stephen, is backing the DOJ in the case. As the oral arguments kicked off, she stood on the front steps of the Supreme Court and gave a speech defending medical mutilation, saying that having a transgender child has made her “wiser” and more “interesting.”
“I think I have the greatest gift of my life is to have kids, and to have a transgender child has made me so much more interesting, so much more wise,” the Hollywood actress said.
“I have four beautiful children – and I’m allowed to brag about my children because they’re mine – and my eldest is a remarkable trans man, an extraordinary human being,” she continued. “As a well-meaning parent, I didn’t always know how to support my teenager – my vulnerable teenager who was just trying to live his truth – but you know what? I learned. I learned that what these kids and families need is judicious counseling, sound medical advice, and an atmosphere of calm and love and acceptance.”
‘Willingly hand their children over to transpredators’
America’s Frontline Doctors Founder and President Dr. Simone Gold slammed Bening for her narcissism and accused her of collaborating with transpredators to harm children. Transpredators is a trending term for doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, mental health professionals, and any other medical provider that performs or enables the medical mutilation of minors for “gender transitioning.”
“Some parents are complicit and willingly hand their children over to transpredators for butchery,” said Dr. Gold. “This is particularly common in Hollywood, where narcissism runs rampant and celebrities consider it a badge of prestige to have transgender children. Bening confirmed this when she boasted about how much more ‘interesting’ and ‘wise’ she is because her daughter identifies as a man. Wow.”
Medical mutilation is estimated to be a $5 billion industry, with transgender patients fetching upwards of $1 million for medical providers.
