Bank denied accounts to Trump family after after they left the White House, says Melania

A bank canceled Melania Trump’s bank account and denied one to her son Barron after the family left the White House in 2020, according to her new memoir.

“I was shocked and dismayed to learn that my long-time bank decided to terminate my account and deny my son the opportunity to open a new one,” she wrote in “Melania,” published on Tuesday. “This decision appeared to be rooted in political discrimination, raising serious concerns about civil rights violations.”

While Melania did not name the bank, she said its actions were part of a “venom of cancel culture” the Trump family was forced to endure.

Charity work for foster children canceled

The cancellations extended even to Melania's charity work, which was primarily in foster care. After the White House, she started a non-profit called Fostering the Future. A “leading tech-education company” agreed to partner with the organization but the relationship was axed after it was discovered that a Trump was involved.

“Despite my efforts to focus solely on children's education and my willingness to avoid any public association with the program, the school remained firm and terminated the agreement,” Melania wrote.

“It has been troubling to witness people who claim to care about the well-being of communities engage in actions that harm those communities.”

Melania added that these totalitarians are not a ragtag mob of activists but rather powerful elites who influence society.

“The ‘cancel mob’ now includes corporations, traditional media, influential social media figures, and cultural institutions,” she wrote. “This disheartening trend reflects the current socio-political landscape in the United States.”

“These ideologues, often lacking basic decency, can cause collateral damage to innocent people. It is evident that these self-proclaimed ‘activists’ show little regard for the consequences of their behavior, even when it adversely impacts the people they purport to care about.”

In another instance, a foster care event Melania was supposed to attend was canceled after the New York Times and other activists began harassing the organizer, his family, and his elderly employees.

“Ultimately, the event never happened due to this pressure, leaving foster care children as the primary victims,” she explained.
