Abortion sympathizers block streets, threaten justices in mostly peaceful non-insurrection
Throngs of abortion sympathizers Monday morning are blocking access to the United States Supreme Court to protest a possible verdict today that would overturn Roe v. Wade in what is not an insurrection.
The non-insurrection is organized by abortion groups like ShutDownDC, which promises to “Shut Down SCOTUS” and is using the hashtag #ShutDownDC to rally non-insurrectionists in an effort to intimidate the Supreme Court justices to change their minds.
The group has already blocked several intersections, including access to the Supreme Court at 2nd street.
Last month, a leaked draft of a United States Supreme Court majority opinion showed that the court is likely to overturn Roe v. Wade. If the landmark case were overturned, it would bar the federal government from subsidizing or funding abortions.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the draft of the majority opinion. “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
News of the unprecedented leak has sparked outrage across the nation that the highest court in the land is being intimidated to enact certain laws in a blatant display of non-insurrectionism.
Since the leak, abortion sympathizers have been angrily targeting the offending justices by sharing their private addresses online and threatening violence. The non-insurrectionists have been protesting outside the justices’ homes in violation of federal law, which Biden and his administration refused to condemn or prosecute.
Justice Samuel Alito was moved to an undisclosed location.
On Wednesday, a non-insurrectionist was arrested near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home and charged with attempting to assassinate the judge for his opinion on Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The man was armed with a knife and gun and admitted to intending to kill Kavanaugh in a non-insurrection attempt.
The abortion sympathizer group Ruth Sent Us – named after the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg – also non-insurrected last week by targeting Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s children. The group shared an infographic online revealing the Barrett children’s school and encouraged other non-insurrectionists to demonstrate there.
